ARCADE FAQ

Do I need internet to use ARCADE?

Yes! An internet connection will be used to log in to your account as well as to download Kits and Loops. However you can use ARCADE offline with the local Kits/Loops you have downloaded for 30 days until you’ll need to re-connect to the web.

How do I load ARCADE in DAW?

After installation, it will appear in your lists of Instrument Plugins. Note: Unlike many of our other products, ARCADE is not a Kontakt instrument.

A Loop won’t stop playing. What do I do?

To the right-hand side of the GUI keyboard, you will see a square button: This is the Loop Stop button. You can click this button if a Loop ever gets stuck.

What if I forgot my password?

Sorry to hear about that! If you’ve forgotten your password click ‘forgot your password?’ located under the Login button in ARCADE. You can also click here to reset your Output account password. .

How do I MIDI Learn?

Check out this section of our manual here.

Why doesn’t “Input Quantize” work sometimes?

If you’ve checked your quantize settings on the Menu Tab and have ensured everything is set up correctly, then this is likely because you have not enabled the transport in your DAW. You will need the transport in your DAW to be running in order for Loop quantization to work. In other words, the Loops will not quantize if your DAW is currently in the ‘stopped’ mode.

Can I change the pitch of a Loop in real time?

Yes! ARCADE v1.2 allows you to change the pitch of your loops in realtime by playing between C-1 and C1 on your MIDI keyboard. See the full guide on Playable Pitch here.

Can I open ARCADE outside of my DAW?

Yes! You can open ARCADE as a standalone application as well!

Where are the sounds stored on my computer?

Here is the folder where sounds are stored:

  • Mac: /Library/Application Support/Output/ARCADE/ARCADE Content
  • PC: C:\ProgramData\Output\Arcade\Arcade Content

This can be changed manually to a user defined directory by opening up the Menu Tab in ARCADE and navigating to Account > Content Storage.

How do I share projects with others?

When you share a project with another user, if that user doesn’t have the same content downloaded on their computer, a pop-up window will display. This pop-up will instruct the user to download the missing Kit. Once this is finished, the user can then quit and reopen the session (without saving it first).

What happens if I quit while downloading content?

If you quit your DAW while you’re downloading content, you will lose the download progress and will need to re-download the Kit or Loops you were downloading before you quit.

How many computers can I log into with my ARCADE subscription?

You’re allowed to log into ARCADE on a total of 4 computers. Between those 4 machines, ARCADE can only be in use on one machine at a time.

Can I log into ARCADE with multiple Output accounts on the same computer?

ARCADE is designed to be used by one Output account per computer, so you cannot log out of your account and log into ARCADE using another account. If, for some reason, you need to log into a different account, please contact Output support and they will help facilitate this.

How do I know when new content is released?

Since we’re always adding fresh content to ARCADE, when we have new Lines, Kits, or Loops, you’ll see a yellow New and/or star icon label like this:

Also, when using the Browser, clicking the star icon  will filter results to only include newly released content.
